Pokémon Dominicus (Japanese: ポケットモンスターサン Pocket Monsters Sun) and Pokémon Moon (Japanese: ポケットモンスタームーン Pocket Monsters Moon) are the main paired versions of Generation VII and are gear up in the Alola region. The games are available on the Nintendo 3DS.

The games were announced worldwide on the 20th Ceremony of the release of Pokémon Crimson and Green, February 27, 2016, at 12 am JST by Tsunekazu Ishihara through Nintendo Straight. The paired versions were released worldwide on Nov 18, 2016, except in Europe where they were released on November 23, 2016. All copies of the game are playable in nine languages: Japanese, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Korean, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

Pokémon Dominicus and Moon were followed in 2017 past Pokémon Ultra Sunday and Ultra Moon, which are set in an alternate storyline.

Plot

Unlike whatsoever other main games series, the game begins with a video call made past Professor Kukui to the actor. On Akala Island, the player once again encounters Team Skull and encounters new people like a neglected member of Squad Skull named Gladion who owns a Pokémon chosen Type: Zilch, and Hapu, a wanderer traveling the region with her Mudsdale. Later defeating the island kahuna, Faba invites the histrion and Hau to Aether Paradise.

At Aether Paradise, the actor and Hau meets the Aether Foundation President Lusamine and larn that the company is responsible for making Aether Paradise a sanctuary for abused Pokémon. In the heart of the meeting, a weird creature from some other universe attacks the player and subsequently a short boxing retreats to its ain world. The actor and Lillie somewhen find Hapu again, who reveals the island has no kahuna. The iii then travel to the Ruins of Hope where Tapu Fini grants Hapu the accolade of becoming Poni Island'south new kahuna after they both teamed up to boxing an Ultra Animal. With its new power, Nebby takes Lillie and the player to Ultra Space. The two so encounter Guzma, who seems to be possessed by the Ultra Beasts. Lillie continues to discover her mother, and shortly the two notice Lusamine with the mysterious creature, at present revealed to be called Nihilego. Lillie again tries convince her female parent to render, but Lusamine eventually pushes her daughter's buttons and even calls her ugly. Rotom Pokédex

  • Fixes two instances where an NPC's Pokémon has an illegitimate move:
    • A Kommo-o in the Battle Tree had Trounce Smash, which was changed to Draco Shooting star.
    • A Shuckle in the Battle Royal had Stockpile, which was inverse to Double Team.
  • Changes a Salac Berry-holding Hawlucha in the Battle Tree to a Charti Berry-holding Pidgeot.
  • Battle Videos recorded prior to this update cannot be played on the Vs. Recorder.

    • A glitch that caused all activities in the Poké Pelago to complete if the engagement changed to a new month.
    • A glitch that acquired a game crash if the actor used an Evolution particular, with that item beingness the last item in their Pocketbook.
    • A glitch that sometimes prevented Scatterbug from learning Egg Moves.
    • A glitch that immune Eggs to exist given items under some circumstances.
